Applicants must possess one of the following qualifications:

  • > A Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6, MQF) in related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 as accepted by the HEP Senate

  • > A Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6, MQF) in related fields with a CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting a CGPA of 2.50 can be accepted, subject to a rigorous internal assessment; OR

  • > A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in non-related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 as accepted by the HEP Senate and with relevant working experience, subject to a rigorous internal assessment; OR

  • > A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in non-related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 as accepted by the HEP Senate and without relevant working experience, subject to passing pre-requisite courses; OR

  • > A pass at Level 7 Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) assessment by Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA); OR

  • > Other equivalents/related qualifications to a Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) recognised by the Malaysian Government

Note: In compliance with the latest regulatory requirements (https://bit.ly/MQA2nd – please refer to pages 38 & 39) students are required to complete a Pre-Requisite Course (PRC). It is compulsory for students to attend and pass this course before/while pursuing their studies at PBS. The purpose of this course is to equip the students with basic business knowledge in order to prepare them for the programme and students are required to pay a fee of RM 500.00 before registering for PRC. Applicable to those who do not have a business or management background. (Not applicable to exchange students).

  • These requirements are only necessary for international applicants.
  • An international applicant who obtains a score below the required minimum score may be accepted for admission on a conditional basis for any graduate programme.
  • An international applicant who has obtained a degree from any public university or established private university in Malaysia shall not be subject to the English language proficiency requirement.
  • An international applicant for the DBA programme who has undergone his Master’s degree education in the English language medium shall also be exempted from the requirement. Application for exemption must be accompanied by supporting documents.

  2. The application Processing Fee is non-refundable.
  3. Students are required to sit for the Certified Professional Marketer (CPM) Examination before the study status is completed.
  4. The above fees are inclusive of the CPM Examination.
  5. However, an additional payment of RM500.00 is required to be paid directly to the INSTITUTE OF MARKETING MALAYSIA as the professional status fee for CPM (Asia) before you are allowed to sit for the examination.

The Institute of Marketing Malaysia (IMM) is the only registered Institute in the country established for the purpose of serving the marketing fraternity in Malaysia. IMM was founded in 1977 by YBM Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah who also became the Institute’s first Patron. Next, YB Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz from 1985 until April 2008.
