Associate Prof Dr Amer Hamzah Jantan is an Associate Professor at Putra Business School (PBS). Before joining PBS, he was an Associate Professor at the School of Business and Economics, Universiti Putra Malaysia. He was a committee member for various strategic and technical committees at the faculty and university levels. His experience includes teaching in a primary school (1984-1987); a secondary school (1991-1996); Aminuddin Baki Institute, Ministry Education (1996-2002); project coordinator for the ASEM Lifelong Learning Initiative, Malaysia (2002-2003); Special Officer to the Minister of Education (2003-2004); Special Officer to the Minister of Higher Education (2004-2006).
His first degree was in the Teaching of English as a Second Language. He completed his PhD in Management at the Graduate School of Management, Universiti Putra Malaysia in 2012. Among his research interests include organisational behaviour, human resource management, performance management, leadership, organisational learning, as well as lifelong learning.
He is currently on the Editorial Board of the Pertanika Journal of Scholarly Research Reviews. He is also an Editorial Board Member of the Journal of International Business and Management, a publication of the Research Publishing Academy, United Kingdom. He is a Guest Editor for the Journal of Reviews on Global Economics as well as a member of the Editorial Advisory Board for the Journal of Business Strategies. He is currently Vice President 1 for the Malaysian Society for Educational Administration and Management.
