The Putra Business School scholarship programme seeks to identify and empower exceptional individuals who demonstrate not only academic excellence but also a profound commitment to addressing pressing global issues and effecting positive change within their communities.

Scholarship Information

50% waiver of the student’s tuition fee for the duration of the programme.

The duration of the candidate’s study programme at PBS, as published on the PBS website.

To be eligible for this scholarship, the candidate must fulfil the following criteria:

  1. Is Malaysian.
  2. Has been accepted into one of PBS’ MBA Programmes.
  3. Obtained a bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in related fields with a minimum CGPA of 3.60.
  4. In excellent health condition and certified by a Certified Doctor/Medical Professional. The cost of medical examination is to be borne by the applicants.
  5. Is not the recipient of any other discount/scholarships.

Applications will be considered according to the following criteria:

  3. Financial Need
  4. Excellent English Communication and Interpersonal Abilities
  5. Self Motivation and Ambition
  6. Potential Impact
  1. The student must maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.50 throughout the duration of their programme.
  2. The student must participate in all related activities required by PBS.
  3. The student will automatically sit as a committee member of the Putra Student Association (PSA).

Note: PBS reserves the right to change the contents with or without prior notice.

  1. The scholarship offered to any student is at the discretion of the PBS Scholarship Committee.
  2. If he/she decides for whatever reason to discontinue the programme or has been terminated or not fulfilling any of the terms and conditions listed in the scholarship agreement during his duration of study, he/she is to refund the total amount of the scholarship or the amount that has been disbursed or any other alternative as stated in the agreement.
  3. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified via email or SMS for an interview (where applicable). Successful candidates will be notified within one (1) month after the interview via email. Candidates must confirm their acceptance of the scholarship within two weeks of receiving the offer, failing which, it will be automatically withdrawn.
  4. Applicants who did not receive any notification for an interview or offer within one (1) month after the due date of the application may consider their application as unsuccessful.
  5. In the event of any dispute on the eligibility of the scholarship, the decision made by the PBS Scholarship Committee is final and no appeal will be entertained.
  6. The scholarship awarded excludes other fees and charges such as application, registration, resource, assessment, and moderation fees to partner universities (where applicable), all of which must be borne by the recipient. The scholarship awarded will only include fees published on the website.
  7. Recipients are required to maintain a minimum GPA per semester set by the PBS Scholarship Committee throughout the programme duration, in order to enjoy the scholarship. Failure to meet such academic requirements every semester may result in the scholarship being terminated.
  8. Where applicable, Scholarship recipients will be required to sign an agreement accepting the terms and conditions of the scholarship.
  9. This scholarship is applicable for the duration of the programme offered at PBS only and is not applicable for the student mobility programme period of study at overseas partner universities.
  10. The scholarship is only applicable for the programme that the student is enrolled on as per the contract signed. It will be terminated if the student changes his/her programme of study.
  11. This scholarship cannot be used in conjunction with any other fee discount, e.g. the Alumni Discount.

  1. The Applicant must have received an offer letter for one of PBS’ Programmes.

  4. Only successful Candidates will be notified within ONE MONTH after the interview.
  5. Applicants who did not receive any notification for an interview or offer within 2 months after the due date of the application may consider their application as unsuccessful.
