About PURE Series 2
Putra Business School Research Colloquium (PURE) Series 2 is a postgraduate colloquium organized by Putra Business School on the following:
Date: 22 January 2020
Venue: Mini Auditorium 2, Level 3, Office Building of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research & Innovation), Universiti Putra Malaysia
Time/Duration: 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.
PURE outlines activities includes oral presentation and technical sessions, which will be conducted by invited expert panels to assist postgraduate students in research aspects. Additionally, there will be award recognitions such as Best Paper Awards and Best Presenter Awards.

Students can either register online via Google Form (presenters must include their abstracts) and ensure payment be made two (2) days after submission of form or you can walk in to our Student Service Counter which is open weekdays from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm.
Please download the abstract template here and ensure:
- Your abstract must have a minimum of 250 words with a maximum 500 words;
- Your supervisor have approved of the submission; &
- Authors are also advised to proofread their abstracts because abstracts will be reproduced from the online submission. Any error in spelling or grammar will appear in the distributed e-book.
Please take note that only online submissions, via email or the Google Form, will be accepted and all abstracts sent by walk in (hardcopy), fax or post will not be considered.
Powerpoint Slides Submission
Presenters will each be given a 15 minute (10 minute presentation, 5 minute Q&A) time slot for their oral presentation thus each presenters will need to prepare a Powerpoint presentation slide to accompany their presentation. The Powerpoint slides need to be emailed to email@example.com by 6 January 2020.
Registration Fee &
The fee for the one-day colloquium (oral presentation and technical session, refreshment, lunch and colloquium kit) is RM50 for both presenters and audience. Deadline for registration of presenters is 31 December 2019.
We will no longer be accepting participants or abstracts after the due date.
Payment can be made via walk in to the Student Service Centre or via bank transfer. Payment information as per below:

Frequently Asked Questions
Is it compulsory for students to present at the colloquium?
Yes. PBS thesis programme students are required to participate in the colloquium at least once during their study duration.
How often is the colloquium held?
Can I still be a presenter even if I had presented in the previous colloquium?
Can I register as a participant/presenter on the day itself?
Why do I, as a participant and not presenter, still have to pay the RM50 fee?
Because even as a participant, you will be getting the colloquium materials, a certificate of attendance as well as access to the refreshment and lunch buffet.
Can I join even if I am not a PBS student?
What are the criteria that presenters are evaluated on?
For students who had completed their Proposal Defence (PD), they will be evaluated on their Introduction, Literature Review, Research Methodology, Ability to Interpret Results, Discussion on the Body of Knowledge and Overall Performance.
Can I join as a presenter but via Skype?
We do not encourage presenting via Skype.
