Strategic Human Resource Management

Introduction

This course is designed around the concept of an integrated HRM, which emphasizes HR strategic roles in organizations. Since Strategic Human Resource Management is a combination of Strategy and Human Resource Management (HRM), it matches the HRM activities and policies to the strategic direction of an organization. It will examine current issues and debates in the field to identify how human resource practices can increase both employee well-being and organisational effectiveness. The student will be evaluated based on the theoretical and practical aspects of each topics. At the end of the course the student will be able to identify the appropriate solutions for various strategic HRM issues and problems.
