The Malaysian Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (MAICSA) was founded in 1959 as an affiliated body to Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA). It is now one of the nine Divisions of ICSA worldwide, having achieved a Division status in 2001. Membership of the Institute is limited only to members and students of the Institute residing in Malaysia. At present the Institute has about 4,000 members (comprising Fellows, Associates) and Graduates, 2,100 students and 600 Affiliates.
In tandem with its mission of developing good corporate professionals, MAICSA is committed to maintaining the highest standard of integrity and ethical values within the profession. MAICSA also acts as a change catalyst in the corporate arena, participating actively in the enhancement of corporate governance. It has been championing best practices in corporate governance and educating the Malaysian corporate sector on its importance.
INTRODUCTION
PBS presents this programme to cater to the needs of top managers focusing on corporate governance and business management.
With this programme, Putra Business School (PBS) graduates will be awarded a PBS MBA degree and are also eligible to become graduate members of MAICSA (Malaysian Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators), subject to terms and conditions. (N/345/7/1055)(MQA/FA8639)(05/22)

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must possess one of the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 as accepted by the HEP Senate; OR
- A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting CGPA of 2.50 can be accepted, subject to a rigorous internal assessment; OR
- A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in non-related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 as accepted by the HEP Senate and with relevant working experience, subject to a rigorous internal assessment; OR
- A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in non-related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 as accepted by the HEP Senate and without relevant working experience, subject to passing pre-requisite courses; OR
- A pass at Level 7 Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) assessment by Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA); OR
- Other equivalents/related qualifications to a Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) recognised by the Malaysian Government
All international candidates graduated from degree programmes whereby English is not the medium of instruction must have obtained a minimum of 550 for the TOEFL Paper-based test or 80 for the Internet-based test, or IELTS Band 6.0, or MUET Band 5.0.
