Malaysian Institute of Human Resource Management (MIHRM)was established in 1975 as Malaysia’s first professional body promoting the practice of human resource management. As the leading and independent body in Malaysia, MIHRM has trainedmore than 20,000 competent HR professionals and practitioners in both the private and public sectors.

The wide array of professional training courses, public programmes, consultations and support for organisations and individuals has put MIHRM at the forefront of the industry as the sole authority on human resource management in the country.

This is consistent with its reputation as the only professional body authorised to certify HR practitioners in Malaysia. MIHRM is also affiliated with the World Federation of People Management Association (USA) and Asia Pacific Federation of Human Resource Management (APFHRM) and other reputable regional Human Resource Management Associations.

The collaboration with Malaysian Institute of Human Resource Management (MIHRM) is essential to achieve PBS’ objective of nurturing human leaders.This modular-based programme caters for the needs of top managers, focusing on human potential management and leadership skills.

Putra Business School (PBS) is the pioneer institution offering this kind of programme and graduates will be awarded PBS MBA degree and Certified Advanced Human Resource Manager.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENT

Applicants must possess one of the following qualifications:

  • A recognised Bachelor’s degree with a CGPA of at least 2.75 or its equivalent.
  • A recognised Bachelor’s degree with a CGPA below 2.75 but not lower than 2.50 will only be considered if he/she has had a minimum 3 years of working experience; or
  • A recognised Bachelor’s degree with a CGPA below 2.50 will be only considered if he/she has had a minimum 5 years of working experience; or
  • A professional qualification that is recognised as being equivalent to (i) above; or
  • A pass at Level 7 Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) assessment by Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA); or
  • Other qualifications approved by the PBS Senate.

All international candidates graduated from degree programmes whereby English is not the medium of instruction must have obtained a minimum TOEFL 550 or IELTS Band 6.0.

  • Lectures are conducted on weekday morning/alternate weekends (Saturdays and Sundays).
  • The hours of lecture per day per course is 7.5 hours.
  • There will be 1 – 2 weeks of inter trimester break.
  • There will be 1 week of break for festive holiday in every trimester.
  • Study duration is 18 months.
