MBA (INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS)

INTRODUCTION

PBS aims to nurture future leaders that practise the human governance values and principles. PBS also engages in research, consulting and business development activities.

This modular-based programme caters to top managers who would like to have an in-depth understanding of the business world. This programme often focuses on how to handle cross-cultural issues, as well as on the practical logistics of working for a company that operates in multiple counties on multiple continents. The program is also designed to help students better understand the underlying structure of a global company.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must possess one of the following qualifications:

  • A recognised Bachelor’s degree with a CGPA of at least 2.75 or its equivalent.
  • A recognised Bachelor’s degree with a CGPA below 2.75 but not lower than 2.50 will only be considered if he/she has had a minimum 3 years of working experience; or
  • A recognised Bachelor’s degree with a CGPA below 2.50 will be only considered if he/she has had a minimum 5 years of working experience; or
  • A professional qualification that is recognised as being equivalent to (i) above; or
  • A pass at Level 7 Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) assessment by Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA); or
  • Other qualifications approved by the PBS Senate.

All international candidates graduated from degree programmes whereby English is not the medium of instruction must have obtained a minimum TOEFL 550 or IELTS Band 6.0.

  • Number of teaching weeks (up to 7 weeks) with examination week (1 week) per course.
  • Lectures are conducted on weekday morning/alternate weekends (Saturdays and Sundays).
  • The hours of lecture per day per course is 7.5 hours.
  • There will be 1 – 2 weeks of inter trimester break.
  • There will be 1 week of break for festive holiday in every trimester.
  • Study duration is 18 months.
